Another Plane and More Leaf

Did another Plane tattoo yesterday.  Kinda crazy- I don't do a lot of plane tattoos, but this week I did 2.  This was a fun tattoo and the customer sat well.  She wasn't having any fun, but she sat well.  As usual, I didn't get any really good pics, but she promised to come back for some healed pics.  She wants to add some background stuff later anyway.

Spent the morning yesterday finishing up all the leafing on Carla's parts.  Next it's back to Joey for a final coat of clear.  Then I can start the striping.  I'm getting closer to getting her put back together and on the road- can't wait.

Tattoos and Gold Leaf

Started a Koi cover-up yesterday:

Got to work on Carla's Gold Leaf this morning.  Just got the bags done.  Using a red variegated leaf between the 2 colors.  Can't wait to see this with clear over it.

Cool Tattoo

Did a cool tattoo today.  This is on Mike- he's a local cop, and a real good guy.  He brought me some nice cigars too.  Over the years we have pretty much become the official tattoo studio of the Gwinnett County Police Department.  I tattoo a lot of cops and they're all really cool customers.  Mike got the front end of this plane today:

Here's a pic of the first tattoo I did on him.  A bit simpler than the one we did today:

Carla's New Paint

Went over to help my buddy Joey with the paint for my bike, Carla, today.  Not that I was really that much help, because I don't know a damn thing about painting a motorcycle, but I did help with taping it all off and cleaning duties.  It's a really nice 2-tone paint job:  House of Kolor Kandy Apple- over Strato Blue for the darker tone, and over Nova Orange for the lighter.

Here's a couple of pics of Joey working his magic:

Yesterday's Tattoos

The guy that got the St Michael tattoo on his chest wanted a bunch of lettering on the other side, so we did that yesterday.  I brought some of the clouds across to tie them together.  I'll get a good healed pic of this later- I know he'll be back.

Also had some folks that I tattoo from South Carolina come down for some more stuff.  She got an anchor with a saying that means something to her and her sister wrapped around it.  She said that it was from 'The Fox and The Hound', but I didn't recognize it- that's NOT one of the Disney movies that my child made me watch 300+ times when she was younger.  She also said that she wanted it to be 'girly'.  A girly anchor?  I suggested adding Boobs, but we just used some pinks and other brighter colors and put a little heart in it.  Her Husband wanted a traditional style Monkey Fucking a Football.  How can ya go wrong with that?  So here's their tattoos:

Going to meet my friend Joey in a little while to hopefully get Carla's paint finished up.  Another week or 2 and she should be back on the road.  Here's some pics he sent me last week:

Finished Fink

Finished the Fink deck Friday night.  I was also gonna post a pic of a portrait I tattooed last night, but every picture I got of it sucks.  I know that I'm a pretty crappy photographer, but I can usually get at least 1 or 2 pics that aren't horrible- not this time.  Every one had a huge glare blocking out a large section of the tattoo, so no tattoo pics for you.

Again with the damn Fink?

Worked on this a little more last night.  Probably finish it up tonight or tomorrow morning.

More Fink

Worked on the 'Punk As Fink' deck a little more tonight.  Had a couple of Whiskey Sours while I was working, which is making this a little harder to type- lots of backspace button.   Finished up the Anarchy sign on the shirt, added some tattoos, put in the paintbrush and added a couple more piercings.

Fink Deck

Got some more work done on the "Punk As Fink" deck.  Need ta get this done before Joey brings me back the parts for my bike.  If I don't get it done and shipped before the paint is done for my bike, I won't get it done in time, because I'll stop working on it to work on my bike.  If I don't get to ride soon, I'm gonna go out and stomp the heads of bunnies.  Anyway, here's some progress pics on the deck:

St. Michael and Rat Fink

Finished up the St. Michael tattoo yesterday.  He'll be back in a couple of weeks for some more work, and I'll get more pics then.  I'll post healed pics when I get 'em.

Started a skate deck.  Haven't painted anything in a few months, so it was fun to get back to doing something.  I'll post progress pics of this as I work on it.  Sending a couple of decks off for a show at the end of the month and I have a few I could send, but wanted to do at least 1 new one, so here it is:

Who's A Pretty Birdie?

A while back, I started a good sized tattoo of a Blue and Gold Macaw.  The customer already had a big Koi cover-up on her arm that I had done a year or so ago, and wanted something to match in size and style for her left arm.  She has a Bird like the one in the tattoo, and wanted it to have something of an Asian feel to match the other tattoo.  I finally got to finish it today, and the whole time I was tattooing her I kept saying, "Polly want a cracker?" and "Who's a pretty birdie?".  Why?  Because I'm kinda retarded like that and every time I said it, she rolled her eyes and told me I was stupid, which only made me do it more.  I'm easily amused and do stupid stuff to crack myself up.  I don't care if anyone else thinks it's funny, as long as it makes me chuckle.  Anyway, here's the tattoo:

Now, here's something I noticed tonight.  I saw this while reaching for the Grapefruit Juice.  I'm a big fan of Grapefruit Juice and everyone else in my house hates it, so that means all the Grapefruit Juice for me, Bitches!  But it's not the Grapefruit Juice i'm concerned with, it's the container of Orange Juice I really want you to look at:

'STILL 64 OZ'- what the fuck is that supposed to mean?  What advertising genius came up with that shit?  Usually you see things like 'NOW 10% MORE!' or 'NEW IMPROVED FORMULA', but 'STILL 64 OZ'?  That's like saying "HEY!  WE DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING" or "WE WERE GONNA FUCK YA, BUT WE DECIDED TO KEEP IT THE SAME SIZE".  Why not put something on there that would make me wanna buy it, like "IT'S DELICIOUS!" or another picture of an orange so I think there's even more delicious oranges in there.  Down below the little word balloon are the words HALF GALLON.  Maybe they're trying to let us know that our system of measurement hasn't changed and a half gallon is indeed still 64 oz.  Fuck it, I'm stickin' with my Grapefruit Juice.
